Old Style Ibrik from Turkey

At home we have an old ibrik with a lid and a more ornate spout. Newly made ibriks being everyday household items conform to comfortable shapes dictated over time by those who use them. I guess a lid was excessive. Our ibrik buyer in Turkey found 6 of these in a bazaar. Made of hand-hammered copper, silver plated, and the inside has been tinned for household use.

Stands 6 to 7 inches tall.
