Three-Course Express Lunch and Dinner
Soup, salad and main course are served together. In a Russian restaurant, you would be served in courses, and the meal would take four hours, including the dancing between courses. We don't mind you dancing here, but all the courses are served together very quickly-- American style!

Dinner

Soups are all homemade and vegetarian. Served with just a dab of sour cream Russian style. Included with entrees. We serve Borscht, Black Bean, Lentil, Mushroom, North African Split Pea, Romanian Ciorba, Russian French, Schii, Spinach

Salads are our version of Greek salads. Finely chopped cucmebers, tomatoes, onions and lettuce topped with feta cheese, Greek black olives and our house olive oil dressing. Included with entrees.

Entrees with Soup and Salad

Vegetarian Ghivetch -- Our version of a Moldavian vegetable stew. Beginning with carrots and onions sauteed in olive oil, a variety of vegetables are added and stewed together wil dill, parsley and sometimes cauliflower, green beans, peas and almost anything except the garden fence!
Armenian Cheese Roll -- Feta cheese blended with cream cheese, the finest Greek black olives, green peppers and cilantro wrapped in a chapati bread, served slightly warm. These flavors are found together in Greek, Armenian and Georgian dishes
Foulle -- An Egyptian chili made with fava beans seasoned with cumin and spices. Served in chapati bread with melted feta cheese An old favorite of Ramses III.
Mushroom Stew -- Mushrooms have always been a regular part of Russian cooking are often substituted for meat. Mushroom picking in the forest is a frequent family outing. We also pick our mushrooms, often on Sunday, but in the produce department. Sauteed mushrooms with onions and sour cream are served over homemade mashed potatoes

Meat Entrees
.

Zharkoe Pork -- An everyday Russian dish. Chunks of pork sauteed with onions, mushrooms, potatoes and herbs. According to the old recipe we also add pickles when cooking. It enriches the delicio us flavor of this authentic Russian dish
Midnight Chicken -- Chunks of chicken breasts stewed with carrots, onions, spices, raisins and fresh garlic in a sour cream sauce. Lightly curried. served over rice noodles. The ingredients for Midnight Chicken may vary as the tradition for feeding midnight guests at Natasha's home in Kiev included what she could find in the refrigerator that night
Uman Beef -- Chunks of beef stewed with whole cranberry sauce and walnuts. Served over rice noodles. A very spcial blend of flavors from the old Yiddish tradition in the Ukraine
