Dear Dishwasher
I am currently in an emotional jam. I am in an intimate relationship with my
half sister whom I met only two years ago. We are in our twenties now.
Sometimes we act like brother and sister, and sometimes we're more like a
couple. I'm not sure this will work. There is some undercurrent of tension
that I don't understand.
Jammin' and jammed up
My Dear Jam, Relationships are hard enough without the added feature of breaking a few
cultural taboos. If you feel tension now don't expect it to get better. After
the honeymoon, issues of all kinds rise to the surface and become more
important -- your maturity will determine if a good relationship will develop.
You already have doubts about the sensibility of a sibling intimacy. That's
your intuition that speaks silently but often early. Listen to it. Yours,
