Balagula Theatre Presents Barrymore at The Kentucky Theatre
Thursday August 21st @ 8PM
Written by William Luse,
Starring Ed Desiato, Ryan Case
Directed by Clay Watkins
For one special performance at the Kentucky Theatre, Ed Desiato once again becomes Barrymore, the master of one character biographies for the stage. The play begins with a stunning entrance onto a stage that the 60 year old legendary actor has rented to prepare for a comeback performance of Richard III. Barrymore jokes with the audience, spars with an offstage prompter, reminisces about better times and does delicious imitations of his siblings Lionel and Ethel.

Thursday August 21st @ 9PM Alana Fugate
 |
Alana Fugate, songwriter and singer, has been writing and performing since she was 13. Her songwriting has matured into a style that allows her to take whatever life has to offer and share the experience with others. Although her music exudes a folk flavor, it cannot be so narrowly defined. The influences of rock, jazz, and the songwriting styles of old time Appalachian ballads also are evident, resulting in a musical blend all her own.
