Bocce Ball Set
One of the oldest known games in the world,
Bocce, also called Bocci, Pentaque or Boules, involves throwing balls
at a target. Variations of Bocce ball have been played all over the world
from prehistory to the present. It’s a game the whole family
can enjoy in the backyard or recreation room--almost anyone
can play Bocce or Boules, regardless of size, physical capabilities,
or age. Even the
Pope John Paul II played bocce ball, despite the fact that the Catholic Church
once banned it as a form of gambling. Morley Safer, David
Lee Roth, and Martha Stewart all play Bocce. Mick Jagger
once won $19,000 in a boules match. Wonder if the Pope knew about
that?
